The idea of merit cultivation is deeply rooted in Buddhism. SLM volunteers work to help foster positive circumstances for themselves and the people around them, some with the intention to cure their own illnesses, others with only a simple desire to share.
At SLM, we believe in providing everyone an opportunity to help improve others’ lives, regardless of every individual’s background. Your desire to give is highly appreciated by SLM and the Buddhist community.
Volunteering
SLM provides opportunities for personal reflection and benefit from incorporating the Dharma in their daily lives, as such we encourage volunteers to take advantage of this unique environment. Voluntary areas required are as follows:
